Wasn't I so cute in 1969? I wonder what ever happened to Jim...... The photo was taken at the Allentown Art Festival in Buffalo, NY; my first and last outdoor show. I didn't sell one hanging, but what I learned all those years ago was indispensible. There are no shortcuts when it comes to developing your art or craft style; experimentation is the only way (in my humble opinion). My first experiments were on cotton batiste using hot water rugs dyes; all were madella wall hangings created using wooden shapes clamped onto the carefully folded fabric. Later I wove white cotton rag rugs and surface-dyed those, but now I prefer to make wearable art. And I will never go back to cotton again!

Morgan: I am truly amazed by this 40 yrs of change, learning, and everything. Half of a life.
Tell me about it! I have no more room in my life for the extraneous anymore.
